Guy,Vogue,sex and models...

Η Annie Leibovitz, ο David Bailey και ο David Puttnam,οι δημιουργικοί διευθυντές των περιοδικών French, Italian, American and British Vogue εμφανίζονται σε ένα ντοκιμαντέρ που εξυψώνει τον φωτογράφο Guy Bourdin, ως έναν από τις πιο τολμηρούς εικαστικούς καλλιτέχνες του 20ού αιώνα.

Έχει φωτογραφίσει καμπάνιες για τον Charles Jourdan, Emanuel Ungaro, Gianne Versace, Issey Miyake,Loewe, Pentax,Chanel και Bloomingdale’s.
Η ταινία,When the Sky Fell Down: The Myth of Guy Bourdin,έγινε από τον Sean Brandt,βοηθό του Guy από το 1982 ως το 1985.

Annie Leibovitz, David Bailey and David Puttnam, the creative directors of the French, Italian, American and British Vogue appear in a documentary that elevates the photographer Guy Bourdin, as one of the most adventurous artists of the 20th century.
Although the French photographer Bourdin has died 20 years ago, his  pictures are so innovative and powerful that even now they hit the most sensitive aspects of passion.
It may not be exactly my kind of  style but  certainly these are not indifferent to me.
I admit that the man behind this lens had  definitely passion and vision.
His photographs, technically perfect with  sexual content, often dangerous .. flirt with sexual violence, power relations between the sexes and fetishism.
He has photographed campaigns for Charles Jourdan, Emanuel Ungaro, Gianne Versace, Issey Miyake, Loewe, Pentax, Chanel and Bloomingdale's.
Described as a very demanding man who often pushed his models to reach the end to get the desired result.
The film, When the Sky Fell Down: The Myth of Guy Bourdin, was made by Sean Brandt, assistant Guy from 1982 to 1985,ιncludes interviews, film clips and drawings of Bourdin, provided by his son, Samuel.
Sean hopes to premiere this film at Cannes Film Festival in May 2011, to coincide with the 20th anniversary of Guy Bourdin's death.
The film is a tribute to one of the greatest artists.
Also 'the story of a son's struggle to save his father's legacy from obscurity' like  Brandt says.
